The National Centre for Entrepreneurship in Education (NCEE) supports higher education to build its entrepreneurial future. NCEE supports organisations to develop their entrepreneurial capacity – providing a range of services to universities, and their senior leadership and practitioners. We believe innovative and inspiring activities led by enterprising staff create graduates equipped for an ever-changing world. NCEE is at the forefront of developing and supporting entrepreneurial and innovative universities. Through training, designed and tailored to developing innovation and enterprise, NCEE will support the development of academic and non-academic staff. It will help us to create entrepreneurial universities through building and supporting entrepreneurial teams. We wish to encourage leaders to:
• Help them build capacity for change
• Think and act entrepreneurial
• Be aware and responsive to opportunities.
Entrepreneurial teams will focus on three themes:
• Building research capacity and knowledge exchange
• Creating a responsive, innovative and thriving organisation
• Leading curriculum change and innovation in teaching, learning and assessment
Through an online modular programme which will consist of a blend of theory, real-life case study presentations, practical exercises, observations and discussions, the participants will take forward to enhance their entrepreneurial and innovative practice. The programme blending theory with practice will help individuals to develop solutions to their challenges, in food or climate. The learning outcomes are that the participants will:
• Be able to demonstrate their agile, creative challenge approaches, and to be innovative in their response to the current context,
• Build strong networks and relationships with leaders across the sector,
• Explore and develop understanding of the sector and policy environment.
All these themes will focus on creating and developing effective teams so that they can support change and engage in entrepreneurial behaviours. The themes will engage with other cross-cutting areas, these include creating a sustainable organisation, environmental challenges, civic and public engagement, embedding enterprise and entrepreneurship and diversity in leadership.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
