Our web-based platform Ayup Connect is currently available to 1 million residents to find and connect with local community services that help improve their health and wellbeing.

This project provides an opportunity to greatly extend our impact and reach by empowering those who are digitally excluded to have equal access. Bringing our platform to in-person spaces where people intersect with their community physically offers huge potential for positively impacting lives; to extend our reach to many more people, opening up services and support to the people that most need them.

Effectively in start-up mode, winning this competition will accelerate our growth plans, opening up better scaling opportunities and investment potential.

**The problem**

The use of digital technology in health, care and across wider society has significantly increased over recent years. However, the benefits are not yet accessible for everyone:

* 7% of households do not have home internet access
* 1 million cancelled their broadband in the last 12 months due to rising living costs
* 10 million adults lack foundation-level digital skills

Some groups face a higher risk of digital exclusion:

* Older people
* Socio-economically disadvantaged
* Socially excluded
* Disabled people
* People less fluent in English

These groups generally face a higher risk of health inequalities and stand to benefit most from accessing community support.

**Our solution**

Our solution is to design, build and deploy interactive screens in community spaces (e.g. GPs, Libraries), to enable all residents, especially those who are digitally excluded, to discover and curate a personalised list of hyperlocal support/services from existing directories/data sources (such as our Ayup Connect product). Residents will have a range of options to take their personalised list with them for follow up in their own time, including a printed receipt, or via automated SMS/email/postal letter.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
