There are currently few if any reliable anti-obesity, anti adipocyte, anti diabetic food compounds on the market at the moment and the search is on to find compounds with an anti diabetic effect, which sensitise tissues to increase glucose uptake and that diminish adipocytes without detrimental side effects and which can be added to the normal food ration or as a health drink. Phytorigins proposes a preliminary feasibility trial in collaboration with Oxford Brookes functional food department to assess the anti diabetic -anti obese properties of an indigenous plant compound from a WHO designated superfood with the idea to grow and manufacture the compound from a specialist UK lab.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
