These marks are displayed to other app users as they approach the location. This marking mechanism results in a crowdsourced geospatial dataset made of annotations about a location. The Neighbourhood Safety Index project will investigate extending Synced to use the crowdsourced data to generate the first integrated live score of how safe a neighbourhood is.
