71869Detecting Drones: low cost, plug and play, mass marketClosedStudyInnovate UKPrisons, aviation, utilities, borders, government estates, public events and individuals are increasingly seeking cost effective drone detection technology to counter the reckless and hostile use of consumer drones. Our product uses radio frequency (RF) sensing to detect signals emitted by the drone and controller to identify intrusions and the location of the operators to mitigate the threat. It features a high probability of detection and low probability of false alarm. The main motivation for our project is to increase the technology readiness level (TRL) of our product to the point where it is suitable to commence a joint venture with a commercial partner. We propose to improve the user interface, complete a system installation at an early adopter site, reduce IP and hardware related risks, and production of a detailed marketing strategy.
