In the UK, we generate around 1 million of waste and much of this waste is exported to low income regions, such as East Africa, who do not have the infrastructure to deal it. This results in large-scale landfill and open incineration being the end-of-life outcome for over 95% of fashion products.

Unfortunately today, less than 1% of fashion waste is recycled, due to technical and commercial issues associated with textile-to-textile recycling.

To address this urgent environmental issue, we are scaling-up our unique textile-to-board upcycling technology to demonstrate the technical feasibility of converting a significant proposition of the UK's textile waste into valuable new materials for furniture and construction applications.

This is a global solution and our ultimate aim is to eliminate Fashion waste from landfill and incineration worldwide.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
