Currently drivers obtain route knowledge by spending time in a 'fixed' simulator (which is based on an actual train cab and uses expensive CGI generated 'replicas' of actual routes) and observing available route video. RouteSim will combine these two existing methods, by combining captured 'in-cab' route video with a fully interactive 'virtual' cab, which can be deployed to desktop, laptop and tablet.
