The unit requires a power source to operate the aeroponics system, consisting of water pumps, water storage, piping, fittings, nozzles, and lighting while ensuring a controlled environment can be maintained to look after the crops throughout their lifecycle.

It is also intended that the unit will be portable so that it can be installed and removed from a van. Initial concept work has already been completed, however, this funding will help to pursue further stages of development.

This project will build a scaled model of our design which will allow us to further explore energy management systems at an early stage to improve energy components and reduction of emissions, usage, and demand.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
