Users complete a self-assessment questionnaire and receive a score out of 100, reflecting the authenticity of environmental claims. This approach demystifies sustainability credentials of products and services, enabling consumers to make environmentally beneficial decisions with confidence. Upon completion of the assessment, users have the opportunity to deepen their engagement through a paid membership. This unlocks access to a wealth of resources tailored to combat greenwashing, including comprehensive guides, online workshops, insightful case studies, and a dynamic forum for community engagement. Members are also entitled to display an "Anti-greenwashing Pledge" badge. Looking to the future, the Greenwash Scorecard will expand its services to include an expert verification service. This will allow businesses to obtain a "Greenwash Scorecard Certified" status, serving as a powerful endorsement of their commitment to environmental stewardship. This certification process will ensure that entities are not merely making unsubstantiated claims about their sustainability efforts but are actively implementing practices that make a tangible difference. Through this project, we aim to foster a culture of transparency and integrity in environmental commitments, making a significant stride towards eliminating greenwashing.
