turbines/power generators so that they can produce higher outputs from a given location and
water flow. The potential to provide this increase in power output has been confirmed by
Southampton University’s “Wolfson Unit, for Marine Technology and Industrial
Aerodynamics” using their computer based computational fluid dymanics (CFD) technology
(Appendix 1).
The Flow-Gen effect is likely to provide:
- 50 to 75% more power from a given water flow or
- similar power using significantly smaller devices from a given water flow
The system may also be employed in two way moderate water flow systems (tidal flows) or
one way water flow locations, such as rivers.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
