Extensive physical load testing using computer-controlled actuators is vital for certification. However, the increasing complexity of aircraft systems, and tapering target performance envelopes, is placing demands on load test control systems that cannot be feasibly met by any existing load control technology. Failure to enable a robust future supply chain for aerospace test equipment has impacts on productivity, performance and safety. RTC target the first cost-effective scalable high-performance solution for real-time dynamic load control. DigiTech uses advances in machine learning (ML) and distribution of key functions into physically separate hardware modules to realise a novel architecture for load control and data management, with a central, adaptable, user interface. With a step change in the quality, function, automation, speed and cost of load control by training ML algorithms proven for artificial intelligence, developmental robotics and data processing, modularity removes the need for high centralised computing power, removingbarriers to rapid configuration of (sub)systems. DigiTech will radically reduce lead/modification times and initial/lifetime costs. Innovation to realise a fundamentally superior solution based on a new technical approach underpins a significant boost to RTC competitiveness and profitability, from increased productivity, revenues and profit margins.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
