Currently, there is a wide variation in access to OH services across the UK, with large employers being five times more likely to offer these services than small employers. Also, as concluded in the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) research "Innovation and knowledge development amongst providers of occupational health", there is also a wider sectoral issue of a lack of SME employer buy-in to OH services.

This leaves self-employed individuals and micro and small enterprises underserved, which can have a significant impact on their ability to stay healthy and productive at work.

There are estimated to be around 1,000 occupational health providers in the UK. The majority of providers (60%) being micro businesses with low capacity.

The innovation is an evolution of Feeds, Damibu's Content Syndication Platform, currently used for internal content distribution in NHS primary care. Feeds is an online platform that helps organisations manage, customise and distribute digital content. It enables the aggregation of content from multiple sources and the distribution of such content to any website or mobile app.

The innovation focuses on four elements of the challenge:

* Encourage SME Employer Buy-In. Address sectoral issue of a lack of SME employer buy-in;
* Increase Access to OH Services. Design a cost-effective solution for occupational health (OH) service providers to offer digital services;
* Improve Service Provision. Engage with OH providers to determine efficient management processes;
* Contribute to Evidence Base. Collecting and reporting on anonymous analytics.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
