UB will use these high-functioning proteins within their novel automated and continuous cell passaging and scale-up system, with their custom iPSC cell lines and AI-assisted cell optimization. This mitigates the need for 24-hour on-site technicians and rapidly enhances the speed of cell optimization for faster delivery to the stem cell and therapeutic markets. Insect systems can mass manufacture these proteins much more cost-effectively and sustainably than traditional bioreactors can, making it not only novel, but also the best choice. This project will further develop both companies' innovations. FF will expand its abilities to develop small molecules or biologics against antigens, as insect expression systems have been shown to produce precisely folded human proteins, such as vaccine candidates, antibodies, membrane proteins like receptors, etc. While UB will accelerate its technology, allowing for the rapid development of stem cell technologies and therapeutics. This indicates multi-level collaboration opportunities for partners that target various aspects of health and therapeutics products, by identifying antimicrobials, drugs, biologics, and/or other valuable proteins.

This project aims to explore a collaboration between FF and UB, leveraging each company's strengths to:

* Develop a custom FF cocktail of humanised growth factors for use and validation in UB's cells and AI-assisted expansion and scale-up system.
* Develop UB's automated cell passaging system using AI-assisted optimization for UB cells.
* Optimise the combination of FF high proliferating growth factors with the automated and continuous cell passage and sale-up system.
* Package FF's GFs and UB's automated system together for sale in the market.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
