The current fermentation process, established and commercially viable for one high-value bioactive product, has significant potential to be expanded into a multi-product platform. This project will transfer the technology into UK laboratories and apply advanced engineering biology approaches to assess feasibility for producing a broader range of bioactive ingredients. In collaboration with Forge Genetics, we will investigate the organism's metabolic pathways and develop tools to enable strain engineering. The project will lay the foundation for a scalable, sustainable, and innovative bio-manufacturing platform capable of delivering multiple products to global health and nutrition markets.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
