Now they are working on using the same approach to nettles. Nettles could provide an even more sustainable, even beneficial textile crop as they can act as a bio-remediator on farms - cleaning up farmyard dirty water which might otherwise pollute the waterways. Wastewater from the textile process could be used as valuable fertiliser and nettle underpants could be the next big thing.
