games market is expected to grow from $50billion to $115 billionn by 2017. Mobile & social
games will make up $100bn of that (Gartner 2011). Casual games and advergames are
increasing employed by a variety of organisations for promotion, advertising campaigns &
education. There are a host of websites, social networks, media portals & gaming portals
throughout the world where games are very successful & achieve high audience figures &
strong monetization.
One of the major barriers facing content developers is discoverability and the ability to reach broad audiences due to the challenges of distributing content across multiple platforms & networks. In such a diverse & competitive arena, it is essential for advertisers, publishers & content developers to target today’s multi-device consumer so that they can reach & address different audiences.
Babuki Limited look to develop a distribution platform technology (Hooplo) that overcomes
the fragmentation of distributing digital content across multiple networks to consumers. This platform will overcome the significant technological uncertainty of developing new and
innovative products and technology platforms for the gaming sectors. The platform will span
across online media channels such as social networks, games networks, connected TV,
smartphones and tablets (primarily Android and iOS devices) helping content developers (i.e. games developers), and contractors to reach and capture wider global audiences as well as a wider audience demographic. It will benefit the general public particularly for educational and advertisement purposes, enables potentially millions of users to access games/media they wouldn’t have accessed previously and importantly help boost the UK economy. The prototype will be used to stimulate mkt interest with mkt entry expected in 2014.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
