This project will provide tools and data which will assist manufacturers of carpet and other flooring materials to improve products to meet complex sound performance standards and ratings and to help educate the building design community and their clients to better understand the requirements for the specification and selection of effective flooring products with regard to specific sound rating requirements for their buildings and to reduce the selection of products which are wasteful of materials.
