Following successful licensing (August 2012) of its “Ultimate Core Workout” tool, it now
sees a new market opportunity which ties the Olympics success-generated interest in cycling
to core fitness training. It proposes a unique, novel core fitness apparatus which can be used
competitively (self v. computer-generated virtual performer, or self v. real opponent) or for
shear enjoyment. The proposed innovative apparatus will open up this sports activity to all. It
will provide core fitness training &amp;amp; competitive enjoyment without the physical injury hazard
associated with the actual practice of the sport, whilst developing their core fitness as
comprehensively as actual cycling would &amp;amp; allow them to become proficient enough to tackle
the physical hazards in virtual safety before exposing themselves to the real thing.
The inventor has applied for a patent for the proposed device &amp;amp; canvassed the market in a
manner which has not disclosed the IP. With the requisite worldwide IP protection measures
in the hands of his patent attorney, the inventor now seeks to assess the idea’s market
potential, comprising:
• The evaluation of the proposed apparatus benefits cf. other devices which combine
fun with core fitness development.
• Working with the proposed apparatus’ fabricating mechanical engineers, computer
hardware and software developers to cost the development of a prototype and estimate a
subsequent mass manufactured item price.
• Surveying the demand for the new product amongst individuals (cyclists, gym users
&amp;amp; computer physical participation programme (e.g. Wii) users) and fitness companies.
• The evaluation of merchandising channels available so the optimum route to market
for the product can be selected.
• Assessing costs, timescales and funding requirements to develop the product to a
