It's become clear to us immediately in the wake of the Covid-19 lockdown that there is a potential to innovate something in this area as none of the existing well known platforms offer this combination of sevices. Opportunities for musicians to rehearse, develop ideas and stream performances when colleagues are in multiple locations are currently limited by latency, audio quality issues and access to specialist knowledge.

We will develop a web platform and prototype a raspberry pi (Single Board Computer) based system with built in microphone, sound-card and web connectivity to allow instant access to our communication infrastructure. Not having access to a quality home recording setup or relevant technical knowledge is a barrier for many. We believe this project will enable amateur and professional musicians alike to be able to collaborate remotely in real time and create studio quality recordings.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
