They remain unsure where to start, who to trust, or which information is reliable. So, we're launching a new online platform tailored to Norfolk to close this gap and empower residents to act. This user-friendly digital hub will offer step-by-step guidance, myth-busting content, real-life case studies, and retrofit explainer videos, alongside trusted resources like Fairer Warmth and Homewise. Whether you're a homeowner, renter, or community leader, the platform will help you explore options, build confidence, and make informed decisions to improve energy efficiency. What sets this platform apart is its local focus. It will showcase examples based on common Norfolk house types and life stages, helping users find advice that fits their situation. Climate action will be reframed around warmth, affordability, and comfort, making it feel achievable and relevant. Insights from Britain Talks Climate research will help normalise and inspire energy upgrades. We know residents need trusted local champions to help them on their retrofit journey, so we will expand Energy Champions to the following areas: * Great Yarmouth, where fuel poverty affects 17 percent of households. * Norwich, piloting a heat pump buddy service. * Swaffham, building on thermal imaging work. * North Norfolk, accelerating uptake of retrofit tools. These trusted, trained champions embedded in their communities will offer 1:1 support, helping residents navigate their retrofit journey with confidence. Community Action Norfolk will support community buildings to decarbonise, strengthening local leadership and visibility. Webinars will share knowledge and encourage wider sector uptake. Meanwhile, we will pilot a guide to support households seeking to retrofit heritage homes. In partnership with the Suffolk Climate Change Partnership, we will package this work into a scalable model for the Norfolk and Suffolk elected Mayor and Combined Authority. Insights from community engagement will help grow Energy Champion support and link to emerging resources via the Norfolk and Suffolk Energy Plan. With strong backing from councils and voluntary organisations, we are ready to embed this work into Norfolk's climate and well-being strategy, creating a blueprint for citizen-led climate action that others can adopt. Together, we are making it easier for people to take the first step toward a more energy-efficient, greener future---normalising and inspiring home energy upgrades across Norfolk and Suffolk.
