Little guys that help you get pregnant, give birth, look after your baby and raise your child. Each device connects to the cloud and our Smartphone app to give you access to simple tools, guidance and content. We see a huge commercial opportunity in unifying three disparate worlds: Parenting + Internet of Things + Design. The global industry for babycare products caters to around 4-million babies on a yearly basis. The world of the Internet of Things is expected to reach 50bn devices by 2020 - six devices for each person on the planet. We have already created our first BleepBleeps product Sammy Screamer Motion Alarm. We successfully launched it on Kickstarter earlier in the year and will reach production this September. This is just the beginning of our journey, however. We want to create prototypes for a further three BleepBleeps devices and develop cross-product functionality that will feature throughout our product range. Within the grant, we will complete the following: 1. Design and develop working prototypes of products within the Video Baby Monitor and GPS Tracking markets. 2. Create a system of interplay between wireless technologies, WiFi, Bluetooth & GPS/GPRS, and develop hardware and software that increase portability and battery life. 4. Scale down hardware to fit product requirements. 4. Merge individual apps into a cross-platform ‘Multi-App’ and implement data security protocols. 5. Complete research into UK and European Healthcare for other products in our range. 6. Undertake consumer testing, cost analysis and market research to establish routes to market opportunities for each product developed in the grant. As a consequence of this project, we aim to establish technical solutions that not only benefit the BleepBleeps product range but can improve efficiency and usability of all portable IoT devices in the consumer marketplace.
