The current technology hasn't been applied to products costing under £2000 and is innovative because unlike most existing solutions is not a coating, instead it fundamentally alters the structure of the titanium by using a mixture of gas and heat. We have chosen to work in Grade 2 Titanium for its lightness robustness, anti magnetic and hypoallergenic properties: However the main drawback of the material is the soft nature of the metal in day to day use, picking up scratches more easily than its Stainless Steel counterpart.

Our watch is also innovative for its use of 3D rapid prototyping from inception, using direct customer feedback to revise the product throughout the design process: Creating our own unique bracelet, modular architecture for ease of scaling and using industry partners to verify its feasibility. Our main objective is to bring all this disparate elements of weight saving, unique design and innovative hardening technique together in a package that is low risk and commercially viable.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
