This project is a collaboration between Gamma Meon, a UK-based innovator in solar energy solutions, and PAS Solar, a seasoned Energy as a Service (EaaS) provider in Nigeria. SEP is a blueprint for a sustainable, scalable, and locally empowered energy future in Nigeria.

**Innovation in hardware, software and business model:**

* **EaaS Model:** Pioneering the Energy as a Service model in Nigeria, SEP moves away from conventional generator equipment sales, offering energy as a user-friendly service at a highly cost effective price competitive with genset. Target is to offer evening electricity at a discount to genset fuel cost and solar hour rates at a -50% discount. This approach makes renewable energy highly _accessible_ and reliable, particularly for businesses in peri-urban and rural areas.
* **Modular & Scalable:** At the heart of SEP's design is its modular nature. The system can start from a single SEP unit and scale up nearly infinitely in single SEP unit increments, allowing it to cater to a wide range of energy needs, from a few micro businesses powering LEDs, fans, powertools, fridges to healthcare facilities, like maternity wards with women arriving day and night.
* **Standardised Components:** SEP's use of standard components not only makes it cost-effective but also simplifies maintenance and servicing, ensuring a longer lifespan and consistent performance.
* **Local Manufacturing & Value Creation:** SEP is manufactured in Nigeria using readily available materials including standard metal I-beams. This local production model not only stimulates the Nigerian economy but also ensures rapid, on-site nut-and-bolt assembly as opposed to construction. SEP arrays will have an operator charged with payment collections, cleaning of the solar panels, repair management and expansions, creating thousands of permanent service jobs.

Sustainability and Flexibility:

* **Reliability & Cost-Effectiveness:** It offers a more reliable and sustainable alternative to fossil fuel generators, at a highly competitive cost, enabling energy security and climate resilience while reducing emissions.
* **Adaptable Installation:** The system's design allows for flexibility in installation and relocation, catering to the dynamic energy needs of its users.
* **Technological Integration:** Incorporating IoT for remote monitoring and management, SEP ensures optimal battery performance, usage lifecycle and efficient energy usage, while also facilitating seamless payment processes</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
