130984Plymouth - Partnership:Productivity:ProgressClosedFeasibility StudiesInnovate UKPlymouth City Council, with its partners, is exploring how to improve quality of life across the city in a new competition run by the Technology Strategy Board. The competition will help Plymouth to explore new approaches to delivering a strong local economy and an excellent quality of life whilst reducing the environmental footprint. It will help businesses test new solutions for connecting and integrating city systems. In Plymouth’s case this includes energy, water, waste, internet access, transport and housing regeneration. Plymouth’s proposal also seeks to make better use of the city’s creativity and exploit opportunities for more collaborative and co-operative working. The Council will be working with universities, local businesses, global businesses and community organisations to identify ways in which the city can be improved.
