It is both a large financial cost and a major environmental impact.
The aim of this project is to find a solution that will change peoples’ behaviour so that festival goers stop treating tents like disposable items. This change will reduce the clean-up costs at the same time that it will generate a new revenue stream. Essentially Festival Republic want to create a circular business model, which ensures tents aren’t abandoned at the end of the festival.

The team tackling the project are: The problem owner, Festival Republic, tent retailer Blacks, service design and circular economy consultancy We All Design and sustainable arts and creative industry consultants Julie’s Bicycle.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
