Currently, treatment decision-making for cancers requires several molecular tests subsequent to the confirmatory diagnosis of cancer by a pathologist. With increasing breast cancer incidence, increasing number of wet-lab test and an ageing pathologist workforce, there is a need for solutions capable of relieving workload pressures in a cost- and time-effective way.

The 18-month project, which has the firm backing of a specialist patient advocacy group, aims to evaluate Panakeia's diagnostic solution to aid NHS breast cancer services by reducing pathology workloads, streamlining diagnostic workflows, shortening turnaround times and reducing costs.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
