It was designed by Designability to meet the needs of pre-school children with disabilities, allowing them to zip around with their peers, and develop independence and spatial and social skills. It can be used indoors and outdoors providing children with the opportunity to enjoy the exciting experience of mobility with their “first wheels”. The product is currently available to children across the UK, Australia, Israel and British Columbia only in Canada. Designability would like to establish a route to market for Wizzybug within the whole of North America. The study will explore the needs of children and families in this region, establish partnerships and collaborations with clinicians and other organisations across North America and will result in a sustainable business plan for Wizzybug globally.
