The app uses machine learning and computer vision to power-up your Lego builds. When it sees a brick it plays a sound. So when you build, you make music. With support from UKRI the team at Playable are working to open up the platform to artists, labels and producers. Enabling fans to get hands-on and play with the music they love. The BeatBlocks Bandbox Jamboree!

BeatBlocks combines cutting-edge advances in machine learning with Playable Technology's extensive experience in hands-on technology to create a new playground for building, creativity and music. The platform has already been show cased at the London Science museum, the science and industry museum and SXSW.

The BeatBlocks Bandbox project focuses on working with artists and records labels to enable fans to get hands on with music and build their own versions of the tracks they love. Remixing Robyn or making Moby mashups with just some Lego, the BeatBlocks app and their smart phone or tablet. By adding 'mini build' challenges to the app fans can unlock bonus content, easter eggs and special edition sounds from their favourite artists.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
