Whilst delays and cost over-runs can be avoided by developers who can rely on dedicated and skilful management, for smaller enterprises without this capability for every project, the risk of being unable to avoid lost productivity will be much higher. This is especially the case in the creative industries, which have some of the lowest productivity rates in the UK, as their project outputs can be either incredibly innovative or subjective and as such incorporate significant risks to remaining on time and within budget. By reducing the lack of visibility as to the certainty of requirements, the analysis of the insights supporting them and the potential for alternative framing and solution concepts, this platform will enable teams, and their clients, to make better decisions as to where to focus on the most uncertain, but also most valuable, outputs of their project.

By integrating both the day-to-day problem solving and task allocation needs with this level of wholistic oversight that can be instantly viewed, businesses will avoid the need for time-consuming reporting and reviews without risking expensive reworks and revisions. Furthermore, this platform will help set the stage for businesses to then consider adopting AI tools to speed up the activities themselves such as the exploration and visualisation of new ideas and concepts, a costly activity for creative projects pursuing parallel developments.

These challenges are addressed by this project with a focus on the needs of the creative industries in the North East of England, where the lead applicant is based. This focus will demonstrate how the platform can assist businesses facing significant productivity challenges so that the incredible extent of their creative and innovative thinking can lead to fully supporting their growth and profitability.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
