Skillsgram is building Wakari, a technology that will be embedded into the recruitment process that allows prospective employees to disclose their disabilities, specialised needs and other support requirements and to advocate for reasonable adjustments to be made in the workplace.

The tool supports disclosure from prospective employees, while it also empowers employers to understand and so prepare working environments adequately to accommodate any reasonable adjustments that prospective employees may have while employed.

The intent of the tool is to foster transparency around disability, advocate for and improve disclosure, foreground and foster meaningful conversations around reasonable accommodations and entrench the importance of openly and transparently discussing and supporting the needs of people with disabilities in the workplace, while also educating colleagues on the value of diverse workforces and how to meaningfully support these.

The mission with Wakari, is to enable collaborative creation of a mutually beneficial working environment for both employers and employees and to in this way strengthen productivity and retention, and reduce attrition.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
