the Healthcare industry. MDC have applied for an Innovate UK grant to enable them to work with two

other SME's in Zurich , Switzerland in the development of a special container to protect Skin Grafts during

transportation to the patient's operating room.

MDC already have experience in this field, having been consortium members of the EU FP7 project

&amp;quot;EuroSkingraft&amp;quot; which has successfully pioneered the use of manmade skin in the treatment of burns

victims. The manmade skin is made patient specific, by the incorporation of the patients own skin cells

during the production process. A laboratory in Zurich has developed the process, and now requires a

custom- made transport container to protect the skin graft on its journey from the lab to the plastic
