We strive to be a carbon-neutral, end-to-end business that works with the general public, local authorities, and housing and commercial organisations to provide an array of services that work both efficiently and economically.

This project will be in collaboration with Teesside University (TU). The research will be facilitated by the TU Net Zero Industry Innovation Centre (NZIIC), specialists in construction innovation and research.

TU & Scott Bros have previously collaborated together on research into filter cake, as part of the Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP). This preliminary work at the small-scale Wash Plant created prototypes and performed product testing of our activated filter cake (AFC) brick leading to the development of two patent submissions.

This project will see the commercialisation of the innovation and scale-up of the process to showcase an additional viable revenue stream and end-product for AFC that we can demonstrate to our end-users. If successful, the product will be a significant contributor to the Tees Valley Net Zero ambitions, through allowing the construction industry to improve its sustainability by enabling it to use a greater proportion of recycled resources and materials.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
