A mixture of video tutorials with a curriculum of live classes and workshops creates an exciting opportunity to practise art safely, supported by expert educators. Uniquely the curriculum has been designed to improve cognitive development, increased mood and happiness so that The Arte Club is a place for young people to visit and help them feel calmer and more relaxed. Art as therapy is a well-known strategy that helps release the happy hormones in our childrens' bodies. This project allows The Arte Club to work with research specialists to develop the digital platform so that we can use it as a potential health intervention for improving childrens' mental health over time. Through engaging them in art activities, we are able to help lift their spirits, to help them feel better about themselves and their situation, and to give them confidence and a sense of satisfaction for learning new skills.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
