10035493Frytec- An innovation in the shelf life extension of Used Cooking OilClosedCollaborative R&DInnovate UKCombining innovations in Food Science and novel filtration technology, Frytec aim to develop and trial a unique filtration system that can extend the use of frying oil by up to 10 days and in doing so addressing critical challenges currently facing the Hospitality sector. The first relates to the need to reduce input costs, supporting the sectors recovery from the pandemic and ongoing supply chain challenges due to the Ukrainian war (Russia and Ukraine accounting for \>60% of sunflower oil production). The second relates to the sectors drive towards sustainability with the average UK restaurant generating over 12K litres of oil per annum.
