The programme will do this by building an innovation network to increase both demand and supply side capability in SMEs, developing end user driven AI technologies and address systemic barriers that currently limit adoption.

Working alongside Innovate UK and other delivery partners including Digital Catapult, and The Hartree Centre, and British Standards Institution (BSI) the Turing will provide participants of the BridgeAI programme with access to independent scientific advice and mentoring to support faster AI adoption into organisation for example via supporting development of AI capabilities alongside access to tailored training offers and the support of our AI Standards Hub and Turing Way initiatives.

The elements of the BridgeAI programme which will be delivered by the Turing are outlined below:
Work Package 1 – Independent Scientific Advice
- Turing independent scientific advice provision – the Turing will work with a broad group of experts (research/data scientists and engineers) who can get ‘under the bonnet’ of the science and technology/sales pitch from solution providers and provide scientific and techno/sociotechnical mentoring for organisations involved with BridgeAI.

Work Package 2 – Skills and Training
- AI Skills and Training – This workstream will deliver online training targeted to develop AI capabilities in the target sectors.
- Turing Way Practitioners’ Hub – This workstream will build cohorts of BridgeAI stakeholder organisations, AI developers and AI adopters, who will collaborate, upskill and promote best practices and approaches from The Turing Way in AI and data science.

Work Package 3 – AI Governance
- AI governance, regulation and standardisation – The AI governance team will deliver a series of online events and sector-specific research to support the BridgeAI community in gaining a better understanding of the UK’s AI governance and regulatory environment.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
