Core project team: Rob Weston (project lead), Peter White, (finance and analytics lead ) and Eli Parselia (weather and crop modelling), Shretan Dholakia (trading and risk), Johan Bjorgen (satellite analysis)

HSAT is developing a solution for to accurately predict the yield of crops, on a global scale. As the climate changes this impacts the production of crops. As over $1 trillion is traded in crops every day a 20% shift in crop production impacts the financial markets. Banks offering loans to farmers, insurance of crops, and traders buying crops -- are all impacted by the changes in crops -- which then impacts food pricing, inflation and the end consumer.

HSAT's is building a global monitoring solution to accurately predict yield of crops, on a scale and precision - not achieved before.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
