developed a new technology named S2S. This is a MOB system (Man Over Board system for
localization and sea rescue) that has been designed for fishermen and is registered at EU and
US patent offices, among others. S2S is an innovative and unique safety system that allows a
smart and immediate detection of emergency situations.
Based on its parent company background, SCIO ICT Ltd aims at developing and deploying
the SEA-RRT technology, which is an evolution of the S2S system. It will be specifically
designed for the UK market for other potential applications and users (such as leisure
boating). SEA-RRT will enhance personal safety on multiple sea-related activities.
The potential sea applications that would be the focus of the Proof of Market (POM) project
phase are the following:
- Watersports (sports and leisure boating)
- Professional and amateur fishing
- Oil and gas platforms</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
