In a fragmented landscape of financing and multiple avenues of distribution, royalty calculations see huge complexities, and distributor teams require scalable and efficient processes. Post Covid-19 brought harsher competition for content among distributors, frequent lawsuits from talent, and the push from regulators, consolidating the need for content distributors to build efficiencies. FilmChain requires R&D to create a prototype for a SaaS royalties management platform to enable automation of royalties calculations and reports, and pilot it with a UK distributor.
