Tell Studio, run by producer/director duo Lewis Mitchell and Owen Seabrook, are launching a motion capture studio to service independent games and film teams and provide educational courses and workshops to actors, technicians and individuals looking to skill up in motion capture.

The new system is supplied by Vicon, global industry leaders in motion capture and providers of mocap for triple-AAA games and major film productions, and will be made available not only for productions and students, but also for teams in other fields looking to use motion capture to research and develop new applications, such as professional dancers exploring the benefits of motion capture to provide a dance clinic.

Tell Studio's new motion capture suite will operate from the centre of Leeds, a two-minute walk from the city train station - making it accessible to both locals and the wider region.

'Taking high-end industry production methods and making them both local and accessible supports Tell's ethos of using creative film to make a positive societal impact' - Owen Seabrook.
