710045Large scale propagation of chicoryClosedGRD Proof of ConceptInnovate UKAim of the project is to develop a technology for large scale vegetative propagation of chicory plants used in commercial seed production, through cell culture in a liquid culture medium. This technology is amenable to automation minimises production costs, energy and consumption of natural resources. It provides added value for the customer ( seed companies) by cancelling additional costs incurred with the current technology of micropropagation. It contributes important knowledge for the commercial exploitation of the plant 'cell factory'.
