972035LHA Total Retrofit SolutionClosedBEIS-Funded ProgrammesInnovate UKA whole house retrofit solution carried out on 1 terrace and 1 semi detached property without decanting tenants in order to enable this to be rolled out across social housing stock. The project aimed to reduce energy by high levels of insulation and air tightness. Floors were improved by an innovative method of external perimeter insulation. PV panels were used to provide electricity for MVHR and solar water systems were also installed. Triple glazing made by a local manufacturer was installed throughout both houses and in the porch where relevant. New back boilers were fitted in place of the historic ones, and monitoring and control systems were provided so that tenants could understand more about how to reduce their own energy consumption.
