Further to this, the Project Management Institute state that 48% of failures relate to ineffective communication.

Within software development projects, every stakeholder needs to be included in communications, but each has different requirements. Not getting the right information to the right stakeholder at the right time can lead to inefficiency, miscommunication, project delays and lower stakeholder engagement, ultimately posing a risk to any digital transformation project.

**The opportunity**
The need for efficient communication in software engineering is universal, especially in emerging markets where the need for Agile development and early realisation of market value is imperative.

A significant opportunity lies in the number of projects managed through JIRA, a project management product developed by Atlassian with over 300,000 users, indicating significant potential, across global markets and various industries.

**The solution**

A JIRA extension, utilising AI, that creates a personalised synopsis of a project's progress, tailored to a stakeholder's communication preferences, role, learning style and interests.

**Proposed approach**

* A JIRA plug-in that extends its capabilities.
* Utilisation of Generative AI allowing us to analyse data and produce personalised content.

Our solution is innovative because it leverages Generative AI to automate the customisation of information from JIRA. Unlike existing solutions that rely on manual compilation of updates, our AI-driven approach ensures real-time, error-free communication.

This will improve:

* **Efficiency** -- Reducing admin time by automating and compiling updates that are both timely and accurate.
* **Communication quality** - The tool guarantees that stakeholders are well-informed and have accurate data, enhancing the overall quality of project execution.
* **Scalability** - Scales across all the identified emerging markets, ensuring that the tool's benefits are not confined by geographical or sectoral boundaries.
* **Project success** - Reduces potential risks associated with miscommunication, by facilitating meticulous planning and management of communications.
