Currently, Circular11 has developed a process that creates functional materials out of film-based and cross-contaminated plastic streams that currently go to incineration or landfill. However, use of these streams is limited to highly consistent, single-source feedstocks like PPE waste.

This project will develop a wider database of polymer blends based on large-scale plastic waste-streams, and a process control system that adjusts our proprietary formulations to the specific input variables of a given plastic waste stream. This will enable us to use large-scale waste streams as a feedstock material whilst guaranteeing standardisation of product quality. It will also develop the basis of a process control system that, with further development, could be licensed out to other manufacturers to enable them to use low-grade plastics as a feedstock material for certain applications.</ns2:abstractText></ns2:project>
