Abstract
Toric varieties can be described by a finite package of combinatorial data, making almost all information about them effectively computable. As a result, toric varieties are well suited for applications in a wide range of areas. This goal of this project is is to extend computational methods from toric varieties to broader classes of algebraic varieties such as Fano varieties, speherical varieties, and more generally Mori Dream Spaces.
