Trace anomaly in chiral gauge theories

Abstract

I'll be investigating the consequences of a non-vanishing trace of the energy momentum tensor (TEMT) in chiral gauge theories. Initially I'll be looking at the possible implications this has for unitarity. This work could move forward in a number of directions and will likely cover a wide range of topics such as instantons, the local renormalisation group, path integral analysis, etc.
