Cell Bandage for Repair of Avascular Meniscus (CeBRAM) - a safety and clinical proof-of-concept study
Lead Participant:
AZELLON LTD
Abstract
Cell Bandage is a stem cell therapy platform designed to deliver mesenchymal stem cells grown on a biomaterial to the site of a wound.
The CeBram project applies the Cell Bandage to an unmet medical need in knee meniscal repair. It is estimated that approximately 1.2 million patients annually could benefit from the project.
The TSB grant will help fund process development, proof of concept animal studies, Cell Bandage manufacture and a phase I/IIa clinical trial.
