Results and Impact Joint talk by Julia Gillen and Guy Merchant, entitled, "The Kids Love It-But What's It All About? Perspectives on Virtual Worlds in Classrooms." This event attracted an audience of several hundred, teachers, teacher educators, policy makers and researchers.

The event arose out of interest in the topic by these audiences and so we were invited. But it would be unfeasible to claim any known impact relating to this specific activity alone. We have continued to publish, present and research in these areas, often welcomed and read by US audiences.
