Abstract
This PhD in applied contemporary archaeology will: i) conduct close archaeological investigation of plastic items recovered from Galapagos and ii) develop a methodology to include citizen scientists in this research. By bringing archaeology (UoY) and conservation (GCT) together, the PhD will explore depositional processes of marine plastics through their biographies and offer solutions to policy makers through partnership with local communities.
