Creating a User Defined Healthy Ageing App for 50+

Lead Participant: CRICKETQUBE LIMITED

Abstract

Our groundbreaking initiative, Agewise, aims to revolutionize the healthcare industry with an innovative gamified healthtech app. Our vision is to improve the well-being and quality of life for older adults while addressing digital inclusion, social care, and health technology challenges.

**Key Objectives**

Our key objectives are to develop a comprehensive gamified healthy ageing app for users aged 50 to 75, offering personalised recommendations based on data collected from phones, wearables, and surveys. We seek to enhance social inclusion and promote active lifestyles through interactive features and gamification while providing care organisations, such as hospital trusts, sheltered homes, local governments, and community centres, with valuable insights to make informed decisions about their clients' well-being, optimising resource utilisation, and reducing healthcare costs through proactive and preventive healthcare measures.

**Project Outputs**

Our project will focus on user workshops conducted in collaboration with the National Innovation Centre for Ageing (Nica) to understand user needs and UI/UX preferences. With insights gathered from users' recommendation types, we will collaborate with Dr Mikhail Vasenin from Northumbria University to train an advanced AI/ML module capable of providing user-desired personalised recommendations and insights. Additionally, we will collaborate with a GP to align user needs with NHS requirements, ensuring a user-centric approach for the app and differentiating it from existing well-being apps.

**Total Solution**

Our holistic approach addresses social exclusion and health-related issues by leveraging AI-powered data analysis to identify at-risk individuals, allowing caregivers to provide targeted support and ultimately reducing healthcare spending. The integration of gamification in our app enhances user engagement, motivation, and overall well-being by making health management a fun and interactive experience. With a combination of AI/ML, gamification, and personalised insights, we aim to make a transformative impact on healthcare, enhancing well-being, social inclusion, resource optimization, and cost reduction. Our project aspires to create a lasting, positive impact on individuals and the broader healthcare ecosystem, fostering a healthier and more connected society.
