Abstract
The proposed work will bring the portfolio of AHRC-funded networks working on disability inclusive sustainable global development together to share experiences, reflect on challenges and foster further collaboration. A learning agenda will be developed to guide the process. Through cooperation and subsequent co-constructed knowledge, the resulting network of networks will be stronger than all its parts. The approach selected will be guided by the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and will be fully and effectively inclusive. Accessibility has been considered at all stages of the proposed work, with reasonable accommodation included in the budget. A participatory approach to the research will be undertaken to ensure the most marginalised people and groups are engaged and the scope of participation amongst other participants is increased. A blended approach to learning will be undertaken, with activities taking place online and face to face. All the activities will be designed to forefront the voice of people with disabilities, and document learning from the experiences of the partners involved with a view to developing future research capabilities. There will be several outputs that will result from this work. These will include a series of five learning papers on various research policy considerations. The exact focus will be informed by a participatory consultation with the network partners, but are expected to include ethics; safeguarding/risk; environmental sustainability; inclusive/participatory ways of working (particularly with regards to Equality Diversity and Inclusion); and equitable partnerships. A major output from the work will be a special edition of The IDS Bulletin which will focus on disability inclusive development and networking. A mixture of online, in person, and hybrid meetings will be held to decide the papers that will be included, and who will work on them. The participatory process will be facilitated to encourage a diversity of authors working on each paper from across the networks. To further develop the capability of Early Career Researchers (ERCs), two in person workshops will be held to develop their skills and knowledge. The workshops will be based on what is identified as being needed the most by the ERCs themselves as well as their more senior colleagues. In addition, a process of looking forward will be undertaken to document expected challenges and opportunities in a future research agendas paper. Towards the end of the network funding, a deep dive into the collective impacts will be undertaken and a paper drafted that details the various types of impact of the cohort of networks have had. The outputs will be produced in a mixture of styles and formats relevant to both policy and research based audiences. These will include academic papers, learning events and policy orientated briefs. In addition to the actual published outputs, the meetings and workshops will provide important opportunities for the network members to interact with each other and exchange ideas. These interactions will provide touchpoints for network members to identify commonalities between projects within the cohort and to consider future collaborations. The proposed work will combine the Principal Investigator's individual expertise in disability inclusive development and research capability enhancement, with institutional knowledge from IDS with regards to learning from networks and measuring collective impact. The planned events and subsequent research outputs will provide the AHRC (and other funders as appropriate) with evidence informed lessons that have been learned from the cohort of projects, as well as detailing future emerging arts and humanities research agendas. Through the inclusive and participatory design, this work will help to shape and develop future planned funding calls and cross-UKRI collaborations relating to disability inclusive sustainable development.

| Description | Through this award, researchers working on the portfolio of AHRC-funded networks working on disability inclusive sustainable global development have had the opportunity to come together to share experiences, reflect on challenges and foster further collaboration. This has included the opportunity for the principal investigators of the networks to get together and learn about the work of the different projects. The meetings and workshops have provided the opportunity for the researchers to network and discuss future research plans. In addition, the principal investigators have come together with partners, early career researchers and beneficiaries to think about future research agendas for disability inclusive arts and humanities research. They have also reflected on what has been learned from the current disability inclusive network awards. In addition, early career researchers involved in the networks have been engaged in both a peer support group (online) and a skills workshop (in person), both of which were designed to bolster skills development and provide networking opportunities. |
| Exploitation Route | Those who have participated in this project, including principal investigators, early career researchers, partners and beneficiaries, have been given the opportunity to interact and network with each other. It is expected that new partners will be formed in future, which will undertake further disability inclusive arts and humanities research. The early career researchers in particular are expected to further develop their research careers as a result of the skills training workshop undertaken. As a result of the work on future research agendas, and learnings from the current funded portfolio, recommendations have been developed for both researchers and funders. |

| Description | This project has resulted in significant impact within disability inclusive arts and humanities research, as it has provided an opportunity for researchers and partners from across the AHRC funded portfolio to come together, build relationships, share learnings, and think about future agendas for disability research in the arts and humanities. In this regard, the project has strengthened the research networks working on these areas both within the UK and in other countries. |

| Results and Impact | A series of online meetings were organised and held allowing early career researchers associated with the AHRC disability networks to come together, share experiences and learn from each other. The aim was to engage with the early career researchers about their engagement with the networks, identify areas for skills development, and to develop their research capability. Eight meetings were held and 22 early career researchers participated. |

| Results and Impact | A three day participatory and inclusive workshop was organised to bring early career researchers who are working with the AHRC disability networks together. The workshop was held and co-hosted by Stellenbosch University in South Africa. Seven early career researchers attended. Eleven researchers were invited, but three were refused visas and one could not travel due to a health issue. The programme for the week was devised based on a skills needs assessment, which was based on the Vitae Researcher Development Framework. A series of sessions were held covering various topics including publishing, funding for research, qualitative approaches, critical thinking, and developing research teams. |

| Results and Impact | A series of online meetings were held in June 2024 to discuss learnings related to AHRC funded disability networks. Participants included principal investigators of AHRC funded disability networks, their partners, as well as people with disabilities who were involved in the networks in various ways (but mostly as beneficiaries). The findings informed recommendations for both researchers and funders who might work or fund disability inclusive arts and humanities research in the future. The findings were fed back to the AHRC. |
